Basel, 25 July 2024 – The Board of Fondation Botnar has elected Elsbeth Müller as its new President, effective from 1 July 2024.

A member of the Fondation Botnar board since 2015, Müller has in-depth knowledge of Fondation Botnar and a wealth of experience in child and human rights.

As the former CEO of UNICEF (the United Nations Children’s Fund) Switzerland, she championed children’s rights in Switzerland, oversaw the certification of many Swiss cities as “child-friendly communities” and was involved in numerous international projects for the benefit of children’s health and wellbeing.

Dr Flavia Bustreo will continue in her role as Vice-President, a position she has held since February 2020.
