Keynote speaker: 
Peter Piot, Director of the School and a Handa Professor of Global Health, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.

Prof. Peter Piot was the founding Executive Director of UNAIDS and Under Secretary-General of the United Nations from 1995 until 2008, and was an Associate Director of the Global Programme on AIDS of WHO. In 1976 he co-discovered the Ebola virus in Zaire while working at the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp, Belgium, and led research on HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases and women’s health, mostly in sub-Saharan Africa. He has received numerous scientific and civic awards including an honorary doctorate from seven universities and has published over 580 scientific articles and 17 books.

Andrew Jack is global education editor for the Financial Times, writing on educational issues around the world and editorial lead for the free FT schools programme. He was previously Head of Curated Content, Deputy Editor of the Big Read Section, pharmaceuticals correspondent, and a foreign correspondent in France and Russia.

Ilona Kickbusch, Director of the Global Health Centre and adjunct professor at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva.

Prof. Ilona Kickbusch established the Global Health Centre at the Graduate Institute for International and Development Studies in Geneva. She has had a distinguished career with the World Health Organization. She was a key instigator of the Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion and WHOs Healthy Cities Network and has remained a leader in this field, advising on the WHO activities related to Promoting Health in the SDGs. Recently, she was awarded the Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany (Bundesverdienstkreuz) in recognition of her invaluable contributions to innovation in governance for global health and global health diplomacy.

Hila Azadzoy, Managing Director, Global Health Initiative at Ada Health

Hila is dedicated to using technology for social good, leading our Global Health Initiative to improve access to healthcare in resource-limited countries. Before Ada, Hila was a founding member and Head of Academics at Kiron Open Higher Education, a startup removing barriers to education for refugees. She is a Digital Female Leader Award recipient, an MIT Solve Member, and a talented public speaker (TEDx, Clinton Global Initiative, UNESCO NGO Forum, and UBS Social Innovators).

Siddhartha Jha, AI/Digital Health Program Manager, Fondation Botnar

Siddhartha is the AI/Digital Program Manager for Fondation Botnar. He grew up in India where he completed his Bachelor in Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology. In addition to many years of research within the industry he also completed postgraduate studies in Biomedical Engineering at ETH Zurich. Siddhartha is deeply interested in using technology and algorithms for social good. At Fondation Botnar, he is supporting digital health and artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives.

Akaliza Keza Ntwari,  Member of the UN High-Level Panel on Digital Cooperation

Akaliza is a tech entrepreneur that has founded two companies offering multimedia design and technology services. Akaliza has also volunteered her time with several organisations including kLab and Global Shapers. She is a founding member of Girls in ICT Rwanda, group of female ICT entrepreneurs and professionals. In 2018 she was appointed a member of the UN High-Level Panel on Digital Cooperation.
