Investing in biomedical research for child and adolescent health

Building on the Botnar family’s longstanding support for biomedical research, Fondation Botnar invests in biomedical research for child and adolescent health, as this field remains largely unfocused on their specific needs. Our focus is on research that translates scientific findings into real-world practice to benefit young people’s health worldwide, focusing on low- and middle-income countries. We do this by supporting two independent research institutions: the Botnar Institute of Immune Engineering (BIIE) and the Basel Research Centre for Child Health (BRCCH).
